Wednesday 11th August

Droogies! apologies for not being around for a couple of months, but to be honest apart from a few daze of rockin' happiness in Ibiza in early June, things have been pretty much on the miserable side of the fence as far as my life's concerned.

On Monday I attended a council meeting where the bastards decided that everybody living in Terror Tower (my home for the last 33 years) will be re-housed and if they decide to bring the flats up to the decent home standard we will have a choice of moving back. The trouble is that they'll get us out and then sell the block citing that the costs of bringing it up to the decent home standard would be too excessive.

The news has had a devastating effect on me and to stop myself drinking myself to death, I have decided that along with Lolli and number one daughter Brookeus Magnificus I will go and visit Ma Krusher, who will be celebrating her 82nd birthday tomorrow.

My weekly radio show will return next week and apologies for the absence of anything new for the last four weeks.

In the words of Mr G - "Onwards and upwards."

Till next week ROCK HARD! ROCK HEAVY!! ROCK ANIMAAAAAAAAAL!!!!

Tuesday 17th August 2010

So three weeks after Waking Lion crashed and burned, the hangover is still there but I'm getting back on my feet again fast. I'm all organised again and working away and back on the road to becoming successful again.

I've not been out at all since I last wrote, apart from last Saturday night when I went to the West End for a few drinks with Cliff and Boycey (Dave Boyce, bass player of Airrace). A good night was had by all, although not as wild as the times I spent there before the World Cup. I'm full on busy at the moment and a hangover is not an option on any day of the week.

I bumped into Down drummer Jimmy Bower in The Crobar that night and I was well surprised to see him in London as I thought the band were doing gigs in Spain and then going back home.

It turns out that when Down were over here for High Voltage a couple of weeks ago, some of the party were smoking a joint out of the hotel window and Jimmy's girlfriend fell out, breaking her arm and rupturing her spleen in the process and she can't fly back the States until she has sufficiently recovered.

Wish I could have seen Jimmy and his girlfriend under better circumstances but at least she is well on the way to recovery and that long awaited flight home.

I'm hoping to get out again this week sometime but I'll have to see how things go. Between now and then, it's going to have to be a case of keeping things moving as best as I can and getting fully back on track as quickly as possible, something which will be achieved without a shadow of a doubt.

Sunday 1st August 2010

It's the 1st August already and I don't know where the last two months have gone...

Well actually, although it's been a bit of a blur, I can remember most of it. We did Ibiza, which was wonderful, and then I went straight to Middlesbrough and worked for thirty three days solid on the World Cup from 7.00am to 9.00pm every single day.

Then I came back to London and two weeks later, Waking Lion went bust...

That was a massive blow and it is taking all of my strength to recover from it, but recover I will and I'll be back stronger and bigger than ever. In fact, I have already made great strides in achieving just that.

A new organisation is rising from the ashes of the now deceased Waking Lion and although there is an immense sadness about what happened to the old company, there is also a huge optimism about the future.

I've got huge optimism about Krusher as well. He hasn't been well at all this last two months but he's recovering real good and although the gig list is very light right now and the work is not exactly pouring in, I think the next few months will be extremely good in Krusherland.

I'm seeing the beardy one tomorrow afternoon and we're going to forge ahead from there. And I'm going to keep this diary up to date as well from now on but give me a couple of weeks to get back on track before I start writing regularly.

I won't be going out much for the rest of this year. I'll just be sat here building things up again and working every waking hour so expect action.

Another update coming in a couple of weeks and plenty of items to put on the site coming soon as well.

Onwards and upwards!

Mr G
